Can’t come up with any good ideas? It’s probably because you’re never bored.
Manoush Zomorodi, host of Note to Self and author of the soon-to-be-released book Bored and Brilliant, explains that the reason we often have our greatest ideas while we’re spacing out—doing laundry, showering, pushing a stroller—is because “when your body goes on autopilot, your brain gets busy forming new neural connections that connect ideas and solve problems.”
