InVision Wins Top Awards As Leading Company and Platform for Distributed Design and Collaboration
InVision Freehand also awarded top whiteboarding tool following more than 20 updates this year.
October 29, 2020 - InVision—the digital product design platform used by more than seven million users and all 100 of the Fortune 100 to create the world’s best digital experiences—today announced it has been honored as ‘Overall Remote Tech Company of the Year,’ ‘Overall Design Collaboration Software of the Year,” and that its virtual whiteboard, Freehand, received top honors as the ‘Remote Whiteboard Solution of the Year’ in the inaugural RemoteTech Breakthrough Awards. The awards were given to InVision for serving companies that are creating products and collaborating while they are distributed (“remote”), a widespread reality for so many in 2020.
“InVision is the 2020 Overall Remote Tech Company of the Year and Overall Design Collaboration Software of the Year winner because of its commitment to completely revolutionizing how digital products are created. InVision’s platform, including its virtual whiteboard product, supports stronger, more collaborative teams that are distributed around the globe,” said Bryan Vaughn, managing director of RemoteTech Breakthrough Awards, part of Tech Breakthrough. “In addition to its leading software, InVision stands apart for its educational resources, industry forums, and its ability to understand and diagnose the maturity of enterprise organizations with its Design Maturity Assessment. Design and development platforms are critical, but InVision’s genuine devotion to the entire collaboration process, from software to services, sets it apart.”
InVision’s latest awards come during a busy year and at the end of a successful Q3 for the company, which includes strong financial performance and several strategic product updates. InVision’s product launches empower organizations to innovate more quickly and undergo digital transformations more efficiently. More than 50 percent of InVision Enterprise customers are now on the company’s completely new InVision Cloud platform, “V7.” V7 addresses the needs of cross-disciplinary teams: it offers better ways to organize work, includes new tools for easier sharing and team management, and allows for a steadier cadence of InVision updates and releases in the future.
Other recent updates to the InVision platform include:
- Over 20 updates to Freehand to make it easier for the whole team to collaborate in real-time on a simple digital whiteboard. In response to COVID-19, use of Freehand more than doubled.
- In August, InVision announced its latest version of Design System Manager (DSM) to strong reviews. DSM gives teams the power to scale a design system and connect design and code to make teams more productive and consistent.
- InVision released Spaces—new, dedicated project hubs—to keep work organized and teams in sync. These are fully customizable areas for teams, projects, and versions, so designers and collaborators can easily focus on what’s important.
- Lastly, today InVision released Specs. This is a specialized place for designers and developers to curate and document what’s ready to be built. Designers, developers and product managers can collaborate in real time and stay informed throughout the design process.
Thanks to the strength of these updates, InVision has recently added new customers across many sectors, from financial services to retail, manufacturing, information technology, hospitality, and education. The company welcomed Diageo, Emirates, Hargreaves Lansdown, Marks & Spencer, Swisscom, and hundreds more as new InVision Enterprise customers, which already includes more than 60,000 organizations. Despite market challenges, these companies are investing more in their digital products and design teams, and have chosen InVision as their collaboration platform of choice.
InVision is also proud to have been named to Forbes Cloud 100 for five consecutive years, and honored to have recently won a number of other awards and recognitions including six creative awards from W3, a Summit Creative award, three Muse Creative Awards, and a Webby nomination.
This month, Comparably anointed InVision as a winning company for Best Perks & Benefits, signaling InVision’s continued leadership in remote work.
